In the previous post, I discussed the role of the inner work in shaping you as a leader. That inner work entails self-discovery that enables you to lead from a place of authenticity and strength. You are able to connect with your own story, not just attempting to mimic what you have seen or even heard about leadership from someone else. When you commit to this inner work, you shift your focus from short-term wins to a long-term legacy. This new perspective changes how you lead in three fundamental ways:
You build people, not just profits. You invest in your team's growth, knowing that their success is a reflection of your leadership.
You lead with purpose, not just position. Your influence comes from your character and your vision, not just your title.
You create something that will outlive you. A legacy isn't built on a single success but on a culture of integrity, impact, and meaning that endures.

The work you're called to do is too important to be hindered by the internal obstacles we all face. You have the external strategy; now, it's time to build the internal foundation. Take some time to connect with your story, your strengths, your values, and your purpose. The most powerful leadership tool you have is yourself—and the most important work you can do is to make sure your inner world is as strong as your external vision.
